AI Engineer (contract)

Owns the agent platform, data pipelines, and GTM automation that the rest of the Digital & Growth pod builds on. This role predates the rest of Ops Support and was always a real, active cost — this is the first pass where it's fully itemized in the budget alongside everyone else, not a new hire.

What you'll do

• Own and maintain the shared context engine and agent platform that the Agent Workflow Builder, Data & Analytics Engineer, and every other agent owner on the team build against.
• Build and maintain the GTM automation and data pipelines that connect marketing systems (CRM, marketing automation, warehouse) to the agents that read from them.
• Make platform-level calls on data access, tooling choices, and guardrails that affect every agent in the ~79-agent catalog, in partnership with the Agent Workflow Builder.
• Keep the platform stable enough that specialist-owned agents (paid, lifecycle, web, SEO/AEO) can be built and shipped without platform work becoming the bottleneck.
• Report progress and platform health directly to Nash on a .25 FTE / roughly 40 hours a month basis.

About you

• Hands-on engineering background across data pipelines, APIs, and automation, not just prompt engineering.
• Comfortable being the platform layer other builders depend on, including the unglamorous reliability and access-control work that entails.
